I was then going to do some painting or filtering on that, so I merged copies to work on (MergedTows). I felt the graphic novel effect was too much on the tower layer (TowerGr), so I used an unfiltered version with transparency to tone it down (Tower). I also kept copies of both in case I changed my mind.

I applied the same graphic novel filter separately to both the druid chap and the tower separately so I could reposition and recolour the druid. Obviously there are some filters for which this isn't practical.Įdit: If you look at my submission on the Tower Challenge, I did the first two things. What I sometimes do is apply the filter to each layer separately. If it's pretty much everything, I might make a duplicate image and work on that. What I usually do is that keep copies of the individual layers in case I need to go back. I do one of two things, but I can think of a third option too. I'm going to say, "No, it's not possible." I don't think you can do it in Photoshop either, but I'm ready to be corrected on that. r/FreeCAD FOSS Parametrical CAD/CAM /r/scribus Desktop Publishing Darktable FOSS tool for photographers
